Protecting the internal workings of PCB’s and other electrical equipment is often essential in order to secure the equipment and protect it against natural and man-made issues such as vibration and extreme temperature. Here at Sloan Electronics we offer a protective coatings service that utilises a number of materials in order to maintain suitable protection for all circuitry such as polyurethane, epoxies and silicon.
We have a dedicated spray booth and oven for coating and curing varnishes and conformal coatings. Many assemblies we produce are destined for environments that can be hot and humid. These coatings help the printed circuit board being compromised by moisture or water ingress or in some cases Fungal attacks. We have 2 ultraviolet inspection stations to verify coatings are acceptable and there has been no ingress to masked components such as connectors etc.
